My Accident

In October 3rd I went to Ohsaki-Shimojima from the university by road bike as a part of practice of the club activity. The roundtrip distance is about 94km. I crossed four bridges before arriving at the destination via Kawajiri in Kure. The Akinada Bridge was the largest of these bridges, and the scenery from there was also the most beautiful and magnificent. I was able to learn a little about the real thrill of road bike that can't experience in practice around the university.         My accident occurred on the way back after supporting the heat of national competition on the island. In the place called Nakagiri in Kure, I tried to apply the brakes while riding on a gentle slope. Then the steering wheel shook and I rolled over to the right. Immediately after I rolled over, I was desperate to get out of the car road and didn't feel any pain. But the moment I went out on the sidewalk, the right side of my body was severely scratched and my...

The impression of the podcast

Today I listened to the podcast about competition in our society. They talked about whether competition is good or not. The view of good things are that by competing each other, the productivity of everything or incentives rise. The opposite are that by competing excessively, the losers can feel inferiority or be bullied in case of children. What is worse, it can be the cause of suicide.        In the podcast competition is said to a natural principal :Resource of the earth is limited, so animals compete to get it, the losers become the subject of natural selection. This theory applies to human society.        I think it is necessary to compete because in order to grow competing is unavoidable. For example, we passed the admission exam to enter the university. In there, some people failed to pass. In other case, sport, promotion and so on competing follows. By cherishing it every time, we can improve the skills and get the sta...

My Club Activity

I belong to the triathlon team ''Gulls'' at the university. Triathlon is a kind of sport competing the total time of swimming, bike, running. There are various distance of triathlon and the best-known distance is called ''ironman distance'':swimmimg;3.8km, bike;180km, running;42.195km. Those who finish this race is given the title of ''ironman'' for the severity.  In Japan most of the time to start triathlon is from the age of college students. Actually, there is only one person who experience triathlon from high school in my team. So it is easy to aim at the intercollege competition.   My team is aiming at the grope ranking 10 at the intercollege competition. The mood of the training is extremely good: gentle and reliable seniors lead the training, and when it finish, everyone enjoy chatting or eating out. But now, lacking of MGs at this club is a serious problem, so we are recruiting MGs positively.
